Vibe coding

Vibe coding is building software by describing what you want to an AI tool in plain language, then accepting or adjusting the code it writes, with little direct reading or writing of the code yourself.

What it means in practice

Andrej Karpathy coined the term in early 2025. Tools such as Bolt.new, Lovable, v0, Replit and Cursor let a person prompt an app, a landing page or a prototype into existence, then refine it through conversation.

It works well for prototypes, internal tools, demos and early experiments. A founder can test an idea in an afternoon. Product and design teams can make interactive prototypes that behave like real software.

The limits show up later. Generated code can be hard to maintain, review and secure, and a marketing site built this way may be hard for a non-technical team to edit. For production software, most teams pair AI-generated code with engineers who review it and take ownership of it.

Why it matters for B2B and AI teams

Vibe coding has changed what early-stage teams can build without a large engineering team. Founders now arrive with working prototypes, and sometimes live products, made this way.

For marketing sites, it raises a practical question: build it yourself with AI, or work with a studio. AI tools can produce a working page quickly. The page will only be as clear as the positioning, message, identity and structure behind the prompt, and someone still has to make those decisions well.

How we approach it

We design in Figma and build marketing sites in Framer and Webflow, which give marketing teams a visual editor to run the site after handover. Daniel led design on 15+ app templates with Contra and Bolt.new, and has worked with MagicPath and Lovable.

When a team has already built a product or prototype with AI tools, the brand and website still need the same decisions about who it’s for and what it should say.

FAQ

You can build a working site that way. Plan for how the marketing team will edit it, how it will be hosted and maintained, and who will review the code. Visual builders like Framer and Webflow are often easier for non-technical teams to run.

Sometimes, with review. Most teams treat AI-generated code as a draft that engineers check for security, performance and maintainability before relying on it.

It speeds up building. Decisions about what to build, what to say and how it should look still need judgment, and the output reflects the quality of those decisions.
