Zapier

When your site needs to talk to a tool it doesn’t connect to directly, Zapier usually fills the gap. One form submission can reach your CRM, your email list and your team’s Slack in one step.

What Zapier is

Zapier is an automation platform that connects thousands of apps without custom code. Each automation, called a Zap, starts with a trigger, such as a new form submission, and runs one or more actions, such as creating a contact, adding a subscriber or posting a message. Zapier can also receive data from any tool that sends a webhook, which covers most website forms, though webhooks need a paid plan.

How it fits on your site

Zapier helps when your site and your tools have no direct connection, or when one event should update several tools at once.

  • Webflow has its own Zapier app, so new form submissions can trigger a Zap directly.

  • Framer forms can send submissions to a webhook, which Zapier can receive.

  • Other tools on your site, such as a booking tool, often have their own Zapier app or send webhooks too.

A typical setup looks like this. A visitor submits a demo request, and Zapier creates the contact in your CRM, adds them to an email list and posts the details to a sales channel in Slack.

Where the scope includes it, we connect your site’s forms to the tools you already use.

What you get

  • Forms on your site that reach the tools your team works in

  • Field names that match between the form and the tool, so data lands in the right place

  • A handover note listing each form, what it sends and where it goes

The Zapier account and its Zaps stay with your team, so you can change them without us.

What to watch out for

Direct connections first

If your CRM or email tool connects to your site directly, that’s usually simpler than a Zap. Zapier is best for the gaps.

One owner for each Zap

Automations break quietly when a field or a tool changes. Someone on your team should know where they live and check them after changes.

Test with real submissions

Run every form end to end before launch and check each tool receives what it should.

Plan limits

Zapier plans limit how many tasks run each month, and some features need a paid plan. Check your plan against your expected volume.
