Cal.com
When a visitor is ready to talk, booking should take seconds. Cal.com puts a calendar on your site, so they can pick a time without leaving the page.
What Cal.com is
Cal.com is a scheduling tool. You set up event types, such as a 30-minute intro call, connect your calendars and share a booking page. It embeds on a website inline, as a pop-up or as a floating button. Routing forms can send different visitors to different people or meetings. Reminders go out automatically, and webhooks pass booking details to other tools. Cal.com is built on an open-core model, and teams that want to self-host can use Cal.diy, its fully open-source community edition. Most teams use the hosted Cal.com.
How we use it
We use Cal.com for our own intro calls. When you click Book a call on our site, you pick a time for a 30-minute intro call with Daniel on Google Meet, booked through Cal.com.
On sites we design and build, Cal.com fits wherever the next step is a conversation, such as a demo request, a sales call or an onboarding session. In Framer and Webflow it goes in through an embed, so the booking appears inside your page. Where the scope includes it, we place the booking where the page has earned it and style the section around it to match your brand.
What you get
A booking flow placed where visitors are ready for it, usually at the end of the product story
An embed that sits inside your page layout, so the visitor stays on your site
A handover note on where the embed lives and how to change it
Your team owns the Cal.com account, the event types and the calendar connections.
What to set up first
Decide what the call is for
One clear event type, with a plain name and length, makes the next step obvious. Several similar options slow people down.
Ask only what you need
Every extra question on the booking form is a reason to leave. Keep the form to what your team needs before the call.
Check time zones and availability
If your buyers are in other regions, make sure your available hours cover them.
Plan what happens after the booking
Set up confirmation emails, reminders and any follow-up before launch, in Cal.com or in a connected tool such as your CRM.
