Mailchimp
When someone signs up on your site, they should land in the right Mailchimp audience with the right tags, so the right first email goes out.
What Mailchimp is
Mailchimp is an email marketing platform. It keeps contacts in an audience, organized with tags, groups and segments, and sends campaigns and automated emails. Signups can come from Mailchimp’s own forms, or from any form connected through an integration or its API.
How it fits on your site
Embedded Mailchimp form. On Framer, the built-in Mailchimp component takes the form URL from Mailchimp’s embed code. On Webflow, the embed code goes into a code embed on the page. It’s the quickest route, and Mailchimp handles the sign-up.
Native site form. A form designed in Framer sends each submission to a webhook, which Zapier or Make passes to Mailchimp. A Webflow form can post straight to Mailchimp’s subscribe address, or go through Zapier or Make. Mailchimp has no official Webflow app.
Tags at signup. Each form can add a tag, such as “Newsletter” or “Guide download”, so the right automation starts for each person.
Where the scope includes it, we connect the site’s signup forms to your Mailchimp audience.
What you get
Signup forms designed to match the site
Each form connected to your audience, with the right tags
Every form tested end to end before launch
A handover note listing each form and what it sends
What to watch out for
Double opt-in
When it’s on, people confirm by email before they’re added. Make the confirmation email and page match the site.
Consent wording
Signup forms usually need clear consent wording, depending on where your subscribers are. Your legal team decides.
Field mapping
Form fields must map to Mailchimp’s fields, or data lands in the wrong place.
Spam
Public forms attract bots. Add spam protection, then test that real signups still get through.
