Core Web Vitals
Core Web Vitals are three Google metrics that measure how fast a page loads, how quickly it responds and how stable its layout is, based on real visits.

What it means in practice
The three metrics are:
Largest Contentful Paint (LCP): how long the main content takes to appear. Google’s “good” threshold is 2.5 seconds or less.
Interaction to Next Paint (INP): how quickly the page responds to clicks, taps and key presses. Good is 200 milliseconds or less. INP replaced First Input Delay in March 2024.
Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS): how much the layout jumps while it loads. Good is 0.1 or less.
Google measures these from real Chrome users and reports them in Search Console and PageSpeed Insights. A page passes when at least 75 percent of visits land in the “good” range on all three.
Most fixes are unglamorous. Size and compress images, load fonts efficiently and reserve space for images and embeds. Trim heavy scripts, and be strict about third-party tools like chat widgets and trackers.
Why it matters for B2B and AI teams
Core Web Vitals are part of Google’s page experience signals. Relevant content matters more for rankings, but these metrics can tip the balance when competing pages are similar.
They affect people directly too. Slow, jumpy pages lose visitors, especially on phones.
B2B sites collect scripts over time, from analytics and chat to tag managers, testing tools and heatmaps. Each one adds weight. Checking Core Web Vitals regularly keeps that drift visible before it costs traffic.
How we approach it
We build on Framer and Webflow. Both host sites on a global CDN and handle much of the technical optimization by default. Images, motion, fonts and third-party scripts still need care, because each adds page weight.
