Airtable

If your team already keeps structured content in Airtable, such as a directory, a job board or a list of integrations, your website can read from it. Your team edits the base, and the site picks up the changes.

What Airtable is

Airtable is a cloud database with a spreadsheet-style interface. Teams use it to keep records with typed fields, link tables to each other and run automations on top. It has an API, so other tools can read and write its data.

How it fits on your site

Framer has an official Airtable plugin that syncs a table into a CMS collection, with each Airtable field mapped to a CMS field. When you sync several tables, links between their records stay intact.

Webflow connects to Airtable through a sync tool such as Whalesync, through Zapier or Make, or through Webflow’s CMS API. Airtable has no official Webflow app, so there’s no built-in sync.

Forms on either platform can add a row to Airtable through Zapier or Make. That works well for applications, waitlists and partner requests.

A typical setup is an integrations directory. Your partnerships team keeps the list in Airtable. Each record becomes a CMS item with its own page, so a new integration appears on the site without anyone building a page by hand.

Where the scope includes it, we set up the CMS structure to match your base and connect the sync.

What you get

  • CMS collections whose fields match your Airtable base

  • The sync set up and tested with your real records

  • A handover note on what syncs, how it runs and who runs it

What to watch out for

One source of truth

If the same content is edited in Airtable and in the CMS, one overwrites the other. Pick Airtable as the source and edit there.

Field types

Linked records, attachments and long text don’t always map one to one. Test with real records before the templates are final.

Images

Airtable’s attachment download links expire after a few hours, so check that your sync copies images into the site’s own asset storage.

Limits on both sides

Airtable plans limit records and API calls, and the site’s CMS has item limits. Check both against the size of your base.
