Webflow vs HubSpot
Plenty of B2B teams run marketing in HubSpot and wonder whether the website should live there too. HubSpot Content Hub keeps pages, CRM and reporting in one system. Webflow gives you precise design control and a structured CMS, and connects to HubSpot for the rest.
The short answer
Choose Webflow if you want a custom-designed site with a structured CMS, and HubSpot stays as the CRM behind it. Choose HubSpot Content Hub if marketing runs everything in HubSpot and wants pages that change with CRM data, with reporting in the same place. We build in Webflow and Framer and can connect them to HubSpot. We don’t build HubSpot themes.
At a glance
Editing
A visual builder based on HTML and CSS concepts. Editors get a limited role for text, images and CMS items.
A drag-and-drop editor that works inside a theme’s modules. The theme sets how much layout freedom editors have.
CMS
Collections that reference each other, with plan limits.
Blog, website and landing pages, plus HubDB tables for structured data, all tied to the CRM.
Design control
High and precise. Every style maps to CSS, with interactions for motion.
Depends on the theme. Custom themes are built in HubL, HubSpot’s template language, usually by a HubSpot developer.
Hosting
Hosted by Webflow.
Hosted by HubSpot.
Integrations
Webflow’s HubSpot app adds HubSpot forms, form syncing and tracking. Other tools connect through apps, the CMS API and custom code.
Native to the HubSpot CRM, plus the HubSpot App Marketplace.
Personalization
Through Webflow Optimize, a paid add-on, or third-party tools.
Smart content on Professional and Enterprise tiers.
Typical fit
Content-heavy, design-led marketing sites for teams that use HubSpot as their CRM.
Marketing teams that run campaigns, personalization and reporting entirely in HubSpot.
How to decide
Who owns the site
Choose Webflow if
A designer, developer or web team owns the site and wants control over structure and design.
Choose HubSpot if
Marketing operations owns the site and wants it managed next to emails, workflows and the CRM.
How you structure content
Choose Webflow if
Your content fits collections that link to each other, such as posts, authors, case studies, integrations and topics.
Choose HubSpot if
Your content is mainly a blog and landing pages, and HubDB covers any structured data.
Personalization
Choose Webflow if
Every visitor can see the same pages, or you’re ready to add Webflow Optimize or another testing tool.
Choose HubSpot if
Pages need to change by segment membership, device type or referral source. Smart content uses the data already in HubSpot.
Reporting
Choose Webflow if
You’re happy to track visits and form fills through HubSpot’s tracking code and forms on a Webflow site.
Choose HubSpot if
You want page performance, attribution and contact records in one system with no extra setup.
Who builds new pages
Choose Webflow if
A designer or Webflow developer builds new templates and marketers fill them with content.
Choose HubSpot if
Marketers build most new pages from existing modules, and a developer extends the theme when needed.
What it costs
HubSpot Content Hub
HubSpot Content Hub is sold in tiers, and features such as smart content need the higher ones. If you already pay for Marketing Hub at a high tier, adding the website there may feel natural. Custom theme work adds developer cost.
Webflow
Webflow charges a site plan for each site and a Workspace plan for the people who build it. HubSpot stays in place as your CRM, and the app connects the two.
For most B2B teams, the cost that decides it is time. Think about who builds new pages each month and how long each one takes on each platform.
How we help
We design in Figma and build in Webflow and Framer. We don’t build HubSpot themes. If your site needs to run entirely inside HubSpot, a HubSpot specialist is the better fit, and we’ll say so.
If HubSpot is your CRM, we can build the site in Webflow and connect the two when the scope includes it. Webflow’s HubSpot app adds HubSpot forms, sends native Webflow form submissions into HubSpot and turns on HubSpot tracking. Our Peak3 build, for example, connected HubSpot. If you’re weighing Webflow against Framer for the same job, see Framer vs Webflow.
