Product demo
A product demo shows how a product works, live, recorded or interactive, so a buyer can understand its value quickly.

What it means in practice
B2B companies use several kinds of demo.
Live demos: run by sales on a call and tailored to the buyer.
Recorded videos: one workflow from start to finish.
Interactive demos: guided click-throughs of the product on the website, with no sign-up. Arcade, Navattic and Storylane are common tools for these.
Sandboxes: a real but limited environment buyers can try.
On a website, demos also show up in smaller forms. Think animated product shots in the hero, short loops of one feature, or diagrams of where the product fits in a workflow.
The best demos focus on one job. A tour of every feature shows the product is big. A walk through one important task, from problem to result, shows it’s useful.
Why it matters for B2B and AI teams
Many B2B and AI products are hard to explain in words. Buyers want to see what using the product is like before they give their email or book a call. A clear demo on the website can answer the first questions and send better-qualified buyers to sales.
For AI products, demos carry extra weight. Buyers have learned to be wary of claims, so they want to see real outputs and real interfaces. Showing the actual product, including how a person reviews or controls what the AI does, builds trust that an abstract illustration can’t.
How we approach it
Showing the product clearly is central to our website work. We design product visuals, motion and diagrams together with the message, so a visitor understands the product before they reach the call to action.
For OpaqAI, which works in AI agent governance, we redrew the core diagram so OpaqAI shows up only where it acts.
For Averi AI, the Framer website brings Averi’s content workflow into focus, with WebGL and motion design.
FAQ
If buyers want to see the product before talking to sales, and the product can be shown in a few guided steps, an interactive demo usually helps. Complex setups may be better shown in a short video.
A form collects leads but stops many visitors. Many B2B companies show a short demo openly and ask for details before a deeper walkthrough or a full trial.
For a website video focused on one workflow, one to three minutes is a sensible range. Longer walkthroughs suit sales follow-up or documentation.
