Client Said It · Free tool for freelance designers
Case studies that prove the result, in your client’s own words.
Most design case studies show the work and skip the result, because nobody asked the client.
Client Said It writes the message to your past client, scores how much proof you have, and turns their answers into a case study you can paste into Framer, Webflow, or Notion. About 30 minutes per project.

CLIENT SAID IT
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE
Proof score 100/100
Ledgerly: Demo requests up 40% in the first month
Seed-stage AI startup selling to finance teams | Brand identity, Webflow site, pitch deck template | 6 weeks
The problem
Visitors could not tell what the product did. The site listed twelve features and demo requests were flat for three months.
What I changed
1. Rewrote the hero around one job: close the books in two days
2. Built a three-step product diagram instead of feature cards
3. Cut the site from nine pages to four
“For the first time investors got it in one slide.”

Creating past project case studies takes forever!

After procrastinating for months I have finally uploaded a case study

How do you write a case study for your portfolio? Is there a specific method? I’ve looked on YouTube, but I’m finding conflicting information
@uikipediadotcom on X ↗
The hard part isn’t the layout. It’s the missing proof. A buyer skimming your portfolio wants to know one thing: what changed for the client. If you never asked, you can’t say. So the case study sits in drafts, or it goes up as a gallery of nice screens.
Ask. Paste. Publish.
01
Ask your client
Fill in four fields and get a short, friendly 5-question message asking what was broken, what changed, any numbers, a quote, and if you can use their name. You send it yourself.
02
Paste what you know
The problem, three decisions you made, and your client’s answers. Rough notes are fine.
03
Check it and take it with you
Get a proof score out of 100, the vague words flagged, and an outcome-first case study. Download Markdown or HTML, or grab the proposal snippet and social post.
Seven checks. One proof score.
The score shows exactly what a buyer will miss, so you know what to ask your client for. Half the points sit with the result, because that is the part most case studies skip.
Result stated
The result field has the client’s numbers or words.
20
Result has a number
Buyers trust numbers. A rough one still counts.
20
Client quote included
Their words do more work than any screenshot.
15
Problem described
At least one full sentence on what was not working.
15
At least 3 decisions
Three things you chose to do, one per line.
15
No vague words
None of 14 words like seamless, modern, elevate or robust.
10
Quote is attributed
A name and role, or a role alone if they stay anonymous.
5
Proof score
Checked in your browser as you build.

Same project. The only new input is what the client said.

Before, from my notes
Proof score 15/100
Ledgerly: brand identity and marketing site
The problem: The old brand felt dated and the site was not modern or seamless.
What I changed: 1. New logo 2. New website
Flags: no result, no number, no quote, fewer than 3 decisions, vague words: seamless, modern
After one message to the client
Proof score 100/100

Why I built this.
I’m Daniel G. Bright. I’ve worked with 100+ career clients as a brand and web designer and have 117 reviews on Contra (4.93 average). I think a case study works best when the client says the result, not the designer. I built this so you can get that in about 30 minutes.
